I wish I could give this 6 stars. First the place is much bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. The service was amazing, not rushed, and the food was plentiful and very good. The prices were reasonable. In line with other sit down breakfast joints. I think I found our new breakfast spots

Great little breakfast/brunch spot. I ordered the southwest skillet- hash browns, eggs, lots of ketchup. They don't have gf toast or pancakes but our waitress offered me fruit as a side; so that was really nice. Service was great. My dining companion ordered the southwest omelet with a side of pancakes - the pancakes look really golden and fluffy. I was definitely a little jealous!

This little breakfast and lunch place is in a strip mall on mid Rivers Mall Drive in the center of a lot of businesses that I love to frequent. My neighbor and I go to breakfast or brunch once a month, she's 87 and a hoot. She chose the spot and this was the second time that we have been here together. She absolutely loves the waffles here and appreciates that they provide real butter and she said the coffee is really good. This time I ordered the turkey club sandwich and it was constructed beautifully and was really tasty, see those thick slices of turkey? No cheap deli turkey in this sandwich! This place is no-frills and not upscale, but it is comforting and has all the basics of breakfast and lunch and they are always very busy. The first time we came, we waited 15 minutes for a table and this time we were seated right away. I hope you try them out and support small business!

Golden Oak Pancake did a great job of accommodating our group for Mother's Day. Though they had a steady stream of customers on this busy morning, they worked to move everyone through in a timely manner. They quickly filled our coffee cups and kept them full. It was a smooth coffee with no bitterness, great for those of us who drink it black! My niece ordered an iced coffee and it looked delicious and refreshing. She seemed to be pretty pleased with it. I ordered the South Of the Border Burrito. It was so big (and conveniently cut in two pieces) that I only ate half-and I have a pretty good appetite. It was delicious! Full of peppers, onions, sausage, eggs, tomatoes and all of the good things, it was delightful! I look forward to the second half for breakfast tomorrow! My husband ordered the Country Burrito. It was also huge! The burrito contains standard breakfast burrito fillings, but is covered in sausage gravy. It was a tasty marriage of breakfast burrito & biscuits and gravy flavors. Those in our group who ate pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast, fruits and sausage all seemed pretty satisfied with their orders. The dining room is spacious and bright and the decor is cute. It was our first time visiting, but surely won't be our last!

An unassuming entrance--I passed the spot twice before finding it--fronts a large, open dining room. I was surprised at 8am on a Saturday it wasn't busier. Less than six tables had diners. As the name suggests, this is mostly a breakfast spot. The menu is the standard eggs, pancakes, and protein fare. What I wanted was on the children's menu but I had to pay $2 more for the adult version. My meal wasn't exceptional but I also had no objections. Service was very good--always timely but not intrusive. If you like IHOP or Denny's, Golden Oak will please also.

We met some friends here on our way out of town. Our server was very friendly and did a great job taking care of us. The restaurant has lots of seating, has a light, open feeling and is very clean. I had the bagel, egg and cheese sandwich with a bowl of fruit. The fruit was fresh and the way they served it, it would be easy to omit something if it wasn't your favorite. Hubby had a platter that included eggs, pancakes, hash browns and bacon. He was very pleased with his meal as well. Pricing was average and there was plenty of food.

We wanted to try a new breakfast restaurant Sunday before heading back to Indy from St. Charles, Missouri. We all agreed on Golden Oak Pancake House, and it was a terrific choice. Golden Oak Pancake House is a chain restaurant with 4 locations between Illinois and Missouri. They have over 100 restaurants coast to coast. We'd never heard of them before but glad to find a good selection of reviews. The restaurant is bright and clean with an open floor plan. There was no wait when we arrived, and we were seated in a comfortable booth for 4. They can handle large groups as well with many 4-top tables. Our server arrived quickly to take our drink orders while we reviewed the menu. The menu has all of your favorite breakfast items from scrumptious 3-egg omelets stuffed with fresh ingredients, breakfast bagels, biscuits and gravy, breakfast skillets, Belgian waffles, French Toast and amazing Pancakes. Lunch items are available from burgers to many different types of sandwiches and steak. I liked the variety of lunch options for those who prefer not to have breakfast. Everyone can get their choice of a light or full breakfast or lunch. Our food arrived timely and hot. My husband ordered the Southwest Omelet with hashbrowns and pancakes. Our nephew ordered the scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and french toast. Both of the guys enjoyed their meals. My niece and I ordered the 3 egg Spartan Omelet loaded with spinach, tomatoes, and extra feta cheese. She had a side of fresh fruit and rye toast, while I had a side of hashbrowns and delicious pancakes. The omlette ingredients were generous and fresh, and the pancakes were light, fluffy, and had a slightly sweet flavor. I would return just for the delicious pancakes. Our server was very personable, listened closely, and was attentive. Our beverages remained full, used dishware removed promptly, and our check delivered when requested. We all left full and satisfied. We'll definitely be back next time we're visiting St. Charles.
